The Internal Quality Assurance Cell coordinates quality planning and the work of the college committees listed below.

Counselling Committee

The Saint Paul's College counselling committee is constituted to promote the overall well-being and holistic development of students by providing guidance, emotional support, academic assistance and career-related counselling. It addresses personal matters in a confidential and supportive environment, and refers students to qualified professionals or appropriate services when necessary. It also promotes a healthy, inclusive and supportive campus environment.

The committee works towards creating a safe, supportive, inclusive and student-friendly environment within the college and encourages students to seek timely assistance whenever required.

Objectives

  • Personal and mental well-being: confidential guidance for stress, anxiety, depression and peer pressure.
  • Academic support: assistance with coursework, time management and study habits.
  • Career guidance: awareness programmes, workshops, resume-building sessions and mock interviews.
  • Workshop and life skills: programmes on emotional intelligence, conflict resolution and mental health awareness.

Internal Complaints Committee

Saint Paul's College, Agartala has constituted an Internal Complaints Committee in accordance with the UGC Regulations 2015. In order to maintain a safe, secure, and gender-sensitive campus environment, the committee is in charge of preventing, prohibiting, and handling complaints of sexual harassment.

Objectives

  • To prevent sexual harassment within the college and its associated institutional spaces.
  • To provide a safe and dignified environment for students and employees.
  • To create awareness about sexual harassment and the rights and responsibilities of the members of the college community.
  • To organise sensitisation programmes on issues related to gender, sexual harassment and women's empowerment.

Internal Quality Assurance Cell

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Saint Paul's College, Agartala is established as an institutional mechanism for continuous quality enhancement and sustenance. The IQAC facilitates the development and adoption of quality benchmarks in academic, administrative and support activities of the college. It promotes learner-centric teaching-learning practices, faculty development, research and innovation, stakeholder feedback, student support, institutional documentation and the sharing of best practices.

The IQAC periodically reviews institutional processes and recommends measures for continuous improvement. It also coordinates quality-related documentation and reporting in accordance with the applicable UGC/NAAC framework.

College Examination Committee

The Saint Paul's College Examination Committee is constituted to ensure the smooth, transparent, fair and efficient conduct of all examinations and evaluation-related activities of the college. It is the main administrative group responsible for planning, organising and conducting all internal and external tests and exams safely and fairly.

The committee coordinates examination-related matters in accordance with the rules, regulations and guidelines prescribed by the affiliating university and the competent authority.

Objectives

  • Scheduling: prepare examination schedules and share exam timetables that match the academic calendar.
  • Logistics: seat arrangements, exam halls, stationery and other necessary arrangements.
  • Paper management: collect, safely store and distribute question papers.
  • Conducting exams: maintain a smooth and systematic conduct of college examinations, monitor exam halls, and coordinate invigilation.
  • Evaluation and results: ensure proper custody of question papers, answer scripts and records, and support timely evaluation and publication of results.
  • Grievances: handle complaints about marks and exam rules.

Equal Opportunity Cell

The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) of Saint Paul's College, Agartala is an institutional mechanism established to promote equality, inclusiveness, non-discrimination and equal access to educational opportunities for all students and employees of the college. The Cell seeks to create an inclusive academic environment in which every member of the college community can participate, learn and develop without discrimination on the basis of social, economic, gender, disability or other legally protected grounds.

The EOC works towards identifying and addressing barriers that may affect access to education, institutional facilities, scholarships, support services and other opportunities. It also creates awareness among students and staff regarding their rights, available support mechanisms and the importance of maintaining a respectful and inclusive campus environment.

Cultural Committee

National Service Scheme (NSS)

The National Service Scheme (NSS) at Saint Paul's College is committed to developing responsible, compassionate and socially conscious students through community service and meaningful engagement with society. NSS provides students with opportunities to understand the needs and challenges of the community while developing a spirit of service, leadership, cooperation, discipline and social responsibility.

Through cleanliness drives, awareness programmes, health and sanitation campaigns, environmental activities, tree plantation, community outreach and social awareness programmes, NSS volunteers contribute to the welfare of society. The programme helps students recognise their responsibilities towards the community and the environment.

National Cadet Corps

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a youth organisation dedicated to fostering discipline, leadership, patriotism, self-confidence and a sense of service among students. Students at Saint Paul's College, Agartala can participate in drill and parade, physical training, camps, social-service programmes, community development and other co-curricular activities.

Magazine Committee

The Magazine Committee of Saint Paul's College is responsible for planning, compiling, editing, designing and publishing the college magazine. It provides a platform for students and educators to showcase literary, creative, academic, artistic and cultural work, including poems, short stories, essays, articles, photographs, artwork and reports on college activities.

Admission Committee

The Admission Committee of Saint Paul's College is responsible for overseeing and facilitating the admission process in a fair, transparent and systematic manner. Grievance Redressal Committee

The Grievance Redressal Committee of Saint Paul's College is constituted to provide a fair, accessible and confidential mechanism for addressing the concerns and grievances of students and other members of the college community. The committee aims to ensure that genuine concerns are heard carefully and resolved in a timely, impartial and transparent manner.

The committee receives and examines grievances related to academic matters, administrative services, facilities, discipline, interpersonal concerns and other issues affecting the college community.
